Les documents en anglais de la dissémination du projet PIN réalisée par la Fondation des Territoires de Demain  sont à la disposition de tous les organismes européens concernés.

ProInterNet (PIN) is a new project co-financed by the Lifelong Learning Programme. The PIN project will create a network of key players in the area of ICT and Multimedia skills in SMEs.

The activities planned by PIN, will improve employability, reduce skills shortages on the EU labour market, improve the quality of vocational education and training (VET) and make VET in the field of ICT more transparent and comparable at European level. Help us shape market-near training for Internet professions and learn more.

PIN answers to the need as indentified by the OECD report: "ICT skills are an important contribution to growth. Over 4% of total employment is in ICT specialist occupations, over 20% in intensive ICT-using occupations." By now employment opportunities are plentiful, but vacancies are difficult to fill as qualifications do not match with the requirements in the companies.

The PIN network will tackle this problem by creating a network of key players in the area of ICT and Multimedia skills in SMEs that involves:

1. ICT industry intermediary organisations which have in-depth experience of Internet-related jobs and direct access to ICT-SMEs;
2. VET institutions with a focus on Internet-related jobs;
3. organisations grouping regional authorities and;
4. a leading certification institute in order to set-up a holistic approach of assessing, standardising and certifying job qualifications and profiles for internet-related jobs in SMEs.

The activities planned by PIN, will improve employability, reduce skills shortages on the EU labour market, improve the quality of VET and make VET in the field of ICT more transparent and comparable at European level. Thus all target groups addressed by and involved into the network project will benefit. By involving all relevant stakeholders beyond the consortium throughout the project phase, a critical mass will be reached that will allow for a continued cooperation at network level.
